Southern Crittenden County News: July 31, 2008

By Michelle Henderson and Matthew T. Patton

Seems like a slow week for news overall. Everyone is enjoying a little nicer weather, so many have been seen leisurely walking, fishing and tending their gardens in this part of the county. Also, peaches recently arrived in this area from Missouri, and several are enjoying preparing a variety of peach dishes and jams.

The river level was quite low in the Cumberland last week. Seeing the exposed banks remind us that Mother Nature is a force we often take for granted.

Seven Springs has 67 in attendance for Sunday School.

As school starts Aug. 6 in Crittenden County, be reminded and aware that school buses will once again be on the roads.
